Aurora Arazzi (b.1997) is a contemporary Indonesian artist whose practice spans sculpture, drawing, painting, and installation. Preoccupied with the use of everyday objects and the exploration of paper’s materiality and laborious techniques, Arazzi’s art draws from her personal experiences and surroundings to present contemplations on reality, ideas, and form. Breaking away from the conventions of her printmaking background, she treats paper not merely as a surface but as an object, which, while thin, can be folded, shaped, and influenced by the physics of its material makeup, its environment, and the adjacent objects it interacts with. In line with this meticulous approach, her works transform what is personal and subjective into expressions that communicate universal concepts.
She has exhibited in major Indonesian art events such as Art Jog 2023, and has received significant recognition, including the 8th Bandung Contemporary Art Award (2024) and the UOB Painting of the Year Gold Award in the Established Artist category (2025).
